뉴질랜드 조기유학- 티마루 보이스 13학년 태영, 빅토리아 대학교 장학금($20,000) 수상

오늘 뉴질랜드 웰링턴의 빅토리아 대학교에서 태영이에게 장학금 수상 연락이 왔습니다. 

지원은 했지만, 받을줄 약간은 기대는 하고 있었지만, 수상연락이 오니, 학교 커뮤니티의 모든 사람들이 굉장히 기뻐하는 모습을

보면서, 태영이가 티마루 보이스하이에서의 3년간의 유학생활을 유종의 미로 잘 마치는구나 싶네요. 

다른 무엇보다도 뉴질랜드의 유학생 장학금의 굉장히 드물기때문에, 이런 기회가 쉽지 않은데, 그럼에도 불구하고, 

뛰어난 성적, 학교활동, 추천서, 자기소개서까지 빛을 바랬기때문에, 받을수 있지 않나 싶습니다. 

비용으로만해도 $20,000(약 1700만원정도)이기때문에, 굉장히 큰 비용이라서 만약에 뉴질랜드 빅토리아대학으로 진학을 하게된다면, 큰 도움이 되겠네요. 

이미 여러번 카페에서 썼지만, 호주의 멜번대학교는 이미 요구하는 조건들 다 넘었기때문에, NCEA 결과가 나오는 1월까지 

기다려야하겠지만, 합격을 생각하고 있구요. 멜번대학교에서 이미 합격권이니, 호주 1,2위를 멜번대학교와 다투고 있는 

시드니 대학교도 아마 큰 무리없이 합격하리라 생각을 합니다. 

영국대학으로는 Aston University 에서 오퍼가 나와서 합격권인데, 아직 결과가 나오지 않은, 런던의 킹스컬리지, 

유럽비지니스스쿨 랭킹 1위라고 하는 워릭대학교에서 오퍼 나오는것으로 보고 앞으로 대학진학 결정을 하게 되지 않나 싶습니다. 

이렇게 많은 선택을 할수 있는 위치에 있는 태영이가 정말 자랑스럽구요. 

내일이면 티마루의 모든 생활을 마치고 돌아가는 태영이가 앞으로 청년으로서, 성인으로서 멋지게 커나가는 모습을 기대합니다.

I am pleased to advise that you have been awarded the Victoria International Excellence Scholarship for 2015. Please note that this scholarship is only applicable to those who pay international fees only.

 

The value of this scholarship is $10,000 for the first year of study [may be credited to tuition fees or Victoria Hall of Residence costs], and a further $5,000 for the second and third year of study [provided a GPA of 7 (a A- average) is maintained]. You must also study full time (at least 120 points a year) in order to continue to hold the Victoria International Excellence Scholarship.

 

I enclose a copy of the Scholarship Regulations.

 

You are required to enroll by March 2015. 

 

It is important to note that the awarding of a scholarship and enrolment for an undergraduate degree are two separate processes.  Holding a Victoria International Excellence Scholarship is conditional on the scholarship recipient gaining enrolment in the School where the study is to be undertaken. International students must contact victoria-international@vuw.ac.nz regarding admission to Victoria University.
